Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI), or machine intelligence, is revolutionizing the world by advancing intelligent software and hardware systems. Its impact spans across various domains, including autonomous vehicles, fraud detection, medicine, personal assistants, epidemiology, industrial robots and smart appliances.

Our Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence program is designed to equip students with the skills necessary for a successful career in industry, ongoing professional development and advanced study in AI. This program builds on the strengths of our existing computing curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive education that balances robust theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience.

The B.S. in AI program integrates a strong professional component, emphasizing technical communication, ethics and teamwork. It has been thoughtfully crafted to meet both local and national industry demands while addressing diverse student learning needs.

Graduates of our program will emerge with a solid foundation in computer science, complemented by specialized expertise in machine learning and automated reasoning. This unique combination of skills will prepare you to contribute to and shape the future of AI.


Concentrations:

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers optional major-dependent concentrations to students interested in broadening their knowledge in a specific area and wishing to include this concentration in their degree. The concentrations are only available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence. 

 

Artificial Intelligence Minor:

The Artificial Intelligence minor focuses on the operation, development and application of intelligent software systems.
