Dean, Graduate School and Professional and Continuing Education (PACE)

Brandy A. Randall, Ph.D., serves as dean of the Graduate School and Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) at Oakland University, where she provides strategic leadership to advance graduate, professional and lifelong learning programs. She guides these units through academic innovation, program development, and student success initiatives that promote access, flexibility and excellence in education.

Under Dr. Randall’s leadership, PACE has expanded opportunities for learners and employers through innovative programs and workforce partnerships. She has led the implementation of credit for prior learning policies and the launch of digital badging for both credit and non-credit activities, providing new pathways for professional growth and credential attainment. Her collaborative approach connects PACE’s mission with regional workforce development, aligning Oakland University’s continuing education efforts with the evolving needs of Michigan’s economy.

Randall also plays a key role in shaping university-wide strategies, including serving on the Strategic Enrollment Management Steering Committee and co-leading the Academic Offerings and Innovation Theme Team as part of Oakland University’s 2024 Strategic Planning Leadership Team.

Before joining Oakland University, Randall held leadership roles at North Dakota State University, where she strengthened curriculum development, mentorship and student engagement. She earned a Ph.D. and M.A. in Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a B.A. in Psychology from Creighton University.

A developmental psychologist by training, Randall is passionate about creating inclusive, future-focused educational opportunities that prepare individuals and communities to thrive in a changing world.
