Executive Director, Professional and Continuing Education (PACE)

Flavia De Veny serves as the Executive Director of Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) at Oakland University, bringing more than 30 years of leadership experience in general management, operations and strategic transformation. In her role, she oversees Oakland University’s portfolio of non-credit certificate programs, professional re-licensure offerings and upskilling and reskilling initiatives designed to support workforce development and regional economic growth. De Veny is dedicated to expanding lifelong learning opportunities that meet the evolving needs of individuals, businesses and communities across southeast Michigan and beyond.

Before joining Oakland University, De Veny served as President and CEO of Camaco-Amvian, a $500 million global automotive supplier, where she successfully led a multi-year transformation across nine facilities in six countries. Her earlier leadership experience includes senior roles at Magna International, Cooper-Standard Automotive and Martinrea International, where she focused on business strategy, development and large-scale operational excellence.

De Veny holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oakland University and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland.

Known for her collaborative leadership style and passion for continuous improvement, she is dedicated to helping individuals and organizations thrive. Outside of work, De Veny enjoys driving, gardening and staying active through fitness.
