With a B.S. in Environmental Health and Safety, Deanna Fochesato is passionate about making a positive impact by protecting people, property and the environment. An internship with Boeing during her undergraduate education led to a full-time position as an industrial hygienist, where she monitors exposure to safety hazards to keep employees safe.

Undergraduate

Personal and family experiences inspired Nedi Affas to pursue a career in medicine. Thriving under the support and guidance of her faculty and mentors in SHS and ECLIPSE, Nedi was empowered to give back to her community every step of the way, from volunteering at World Medical Relief to working as a nursing assistant during the height of the pandemic. Today, Nedi is a medical student at OUWB as she strives to become the doctor she wishes her family had.

Graduate

A three-time OU graduate, Miranda Umbras embodies Golden Grizzly dedication inside and outside of the classroom. Driven by a passion for teaching and a desire to educate the next generation, Miranda chose to pursue a Ph.D. in Human Movement Science and mentor ECLIPSE students as she aspires to a career in academia, leading others to seek knowledge.
